Vani Miglani, founder YouthVani, is a 17-year-old high schooler who envisions creating a positive change by committing her life to using education as a tool to transform lives. Deeply impacted by witnessing the lack of skillset to avail opportunities among youth, she founded YouthVani, a skill-building and SEL Learning platform for youth. Vani also worked as a Radio Jockey in collaboration with ‘Hint Media Pvt. Ltd’ where she built a strong network with experts and students by conducting interviews and talk shows through her show YouthVani.
Her journey kickstarted through her selection at Dexterity School of Leadership and Entrepreneurship, where, under the guidance of her mentors Mr. Sharad Vivek Sagar and Mr. Swaraj Priyadarshi, she learned about an education rooted in purpose and leadership rooted in service in the truest sense.
With an aim to upgrade her skill set each day, Vani has participated and won various national and international contests. She was the winner of Wizkids Personality, a contest popular throughout South Asia, and was also one among the top-10 National Finalists in the Open-Mic category. Owing to her win, Vani was also invited as a guest speaker at the ‘Krayon Studio Live Talk’ by LXL Ideas to talk about the social and emotional well-being of students during the pandemic. Her interest and passion for STEM led her team ‘Eco Bandits’ to win the second prize at the STEM Youth Innovation Challenge 2021 organized by the British International Education Association. En route to this prestigious title, her team beat participants from over 50 countries.
Her winning a Special Mention Award in the New York Times Vocabulary Video Challenge is a testimony to Vani’s passion for constantly upskilling herself. She was selected as a winner of the ‘Year 2 After Coronavirus Essay Contest’ where her essay was published in a book by UNESCO and Takhte. Vani was also selected as a winner of the Immerse Essay Contest and was offered a scholarship to attend the Immerse Summer Academic Programs led by tutors from world-class universities including Oxford and Cambridge.
Apart from this, Vani is a melomaniac and also enjoys dancing and cooking. She has won various debate and music contests and is enthusiastic about public speaking. She is also a theatrical performer and has successfully staged various plays.
